It's been over a year since I unveiled my ambitious Transport Plan, which depicted how our towns and cities will need to be linked in the coming decades, and we've already made huge progress.
The 2040 Transport Plan involves various modes of transport including Metro, rail, bus and high-tech vehicles. It envisages 150 miles of new Metro lines and calls to reopen long-closed railway stations, as well as pioneering Very Light Rail technology and driverless vehicles.
This will help link communities across the West Midlands, giving local people better access to employment and educational opportunities.
My transport plan map, which captured the imagination of residents across the region, has been recreated by a well-known local artist, Ben Poultney, also known as Draw My Town.
The map is also available in a black and white version below, to be printed off for children to colour in.
